These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SCS Home Inspector Training website, courses, and related services (together, the "Services"). By accessing our website, enrolling in a course, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. Who We Are

SCS Home Inspector Training ("SCS," "we," "us," or "our") provides home inspector training courses, exam preparation, field training and mentorship, and continuing education, headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and serving students nationwide.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to enroll in a course or purchase our Services. By enrolling, you represent that you meet this requirement and that any information you provide us is accurate and complete.

3. Enrollment & Payment

Course fees, payment terms, and access details will be presented to you at the time of enrollment. Payment is due as described at checkout unless otherwise agreed in writing. Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

4. Course Access & License

Upon enrollment, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use our course materials for your own personal, non-commercial educational use. You may not copy, resell, redistribute, publicly share, or create derivative works from our materials without our prior written consent.

5. No Guarantee of Licensure or Employment

Our courses are designed to help prepare you for a career in home inspection, including applicable licensing exams where relevant. However, licensing requirements are set and administered by state or local regulatory bodies, not by SCS, and vary by jurisdiction. We do not guarantee that completing our courses will result in passing any exam, obtaining any license, or securing employment. You are responsible for confirming the specific requirements of the jurisdiction in which you intend to practice.

6. User Conduct

When using our Services, you agree not to: violate any applicable law; infringe on the intellectual property or other rights of SCS or any third party; interfere with or disrupt the Services; attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Services; or use the Services for any fraudulent or deceptive purpose.

7. Intellectual Property

All course content, curriculum, videos, text, graphics, logos, and other materials made available through the Services are owned by SCS or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of that intellectual property to you.

8. Third-Party Links & Content

Our website or course materials may reference or link to third-party websites, tools, or resources. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of those third parties.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SCS will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising out of or related to your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Services will not exceed the amount you paid to SCS in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold SCS harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Services or your violation of these Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
